Construído em alumínio, o dispositivo tem as dimensões de 12,6 x 12,6 x 4,6 polegadas e oferece múltiplos modos de iluminação, incluindo CCT, Hue, Saturation, Gel Presets, bem como um modo de efeitos. O controlo da temperatura de cor CCT possui seis predefinições de fábrica em incrementos de 2700 a 10.000K. Existem também seis predefinições para a temperatura de cor definida pelo utilizador e controlo de verde mais/menos.
 
O modo de cor HSI permite ajustar o tom, a saturação e a intensidade, enquanto o modo Gel permite escolher entre uma biblioteca de filtros preferidos por cineastas, e um modo de efeitos fornece nove efeitos diferentes para trabalhar.
 
A luz possui uma classificação CRI/TLCI de 97 para equilíbrio de luz do dia e 94 para equilíbrio de tungsténio, indicando uma reprodução precisa de cores. O Gemini é regulável de 100 a 0,1% sem cintilação ou desvio de cor, e as configurações e funcionalidades são exibidas no ecrã LCD traseiro.
